Another great tutorial, this time on thread sketching.

How to fold a fat quarter

(photo from http://kootoyoo.blogspot.com)

This is such a great tutorial on how to fold a fat quarter (a 1/4 yard of cut fabric, but cut as 1/2 of a half yard of fabric. Usually measuring about 18"x22", hence a "fat" quarter, as opposed to a regular 1/4 yard, 9"x by 45") that I felt it really needed to be shared. Enjoy! This looks like a great blog!

Up-close Couture

Here is a great short video of a couture runway design being created in the Chanel and Lasage ateliers (workrooms). The video shows some of the process of draping on a form at Chanel, and the process of creating a custom tambour beading at Lasage, then ends with the finished design on the runway. Be sure to enlarge the video so it fills your screen! Enjoy!

Thanks to TheSewingDivas for this link. I love reading this blog, when I have a few spare moments.
